Country
Germany

Material
Solvent-based cellulose MATERIAL acetate butyrate (CAB) / Water-based acrylic formulation

Nanoaugmentation
TUBALL™ MATRIX 207 / TUBALL™ MATRIX 302

Product
Conductive paint-primer
Key benefits

  • Constant and stable surface resistivity of 105–106 Ω/sq without “hot spots”

  • Resistivity is independent of changes in the environment

  • Maintained mechanical properties

  • Cost efficiency

Application
In electrostatic coatings, TUBALL™ can be used in both water-based and solvent-based primers. On plastics, the conductive primer coating forms an electrostatic charge layer to improve the contact and adhesion of the electrocoat layer to the basecoat. Conductive primer is used on certain difficult-to-bond substrates to enhance the adhesion of conductive paint. It is recommended where a conductive layer is needed on the plastic surface in order to enable electrostatic basecoat applications.
